At the end of March 2026, we said a heartfelt goodbye to Dr. Pete Postuk as he retired after many years of devoted service to our community. Over that time, Dr. Postuk became far more than a physician—he was a constant presence, a trusted confidant, and a genuine friend to both patients and staff. The relationships built here went well beyond appointments and charts; they were rooted in trust, shared experiences, and real connection. He was truly part of our clinic family, and always will be. His warmth, humour, and steady compassion shaped not only the care provided, but the spirit of the clinic itself. The many heartfelt messages we’ve received speak volumes about the lives he touched and the friendships he fostered. He will be deeply missed, and we remain profoundly grateful for everything he has given.
To Dr. Postuk’s patients, thank you for the trust you placed in his care and for your support during this transition. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Nicholas Hargrove, who has joined the clinic full-time to continue that same standard of thoughtful, compassionate care. Please note—it’s Dr. Hargrove (or Dr. Nicholas Hargrove), not “Dr. Nick” of Simpsons fame—though we promise his approach is far more reassuring. As we move into this next chapter, we do so with gratitude for the past, and with confidence that Dr. Hargrove will become a valued part of the same close-knit clinic family.

The Protea flower is rich in symbolism, representing resilience, strength, and transformation. The flower has the ability to thrive in harsh conditions and regenerate after wildfires, making it a powerful symbol of endurance and renewal.
Many species of Protea flowers have adapted to fire-prone environments and actually require fire to thrive and reproduce. The intense heat from wildfires triggers the release of seeds from the protective cones of the flowers. This adaptation ensures that seeds are dispersed in an environment cleared of competing vegetation, providing optimal conditions for germination and growth. This remarkable resilience and ability to regenerate after fires, make the Protea a symbol of strength and renewal.
